Most of you know that I rock climb — a lot!
More specifically, I boulder — a lot!
Bouldering (according to Wikipedia) is a “style of rock climbing undertaken without a rope and normally limited to very short climbs over a crash pad so that a fall will not result in serious injury.” So there you have it: short, technical climbs without ropes for safety.
While during the school year I climbed at the student gym on campus, the ARC, I have since become enamored with The Rocknasium, which offers a ton more climbing and route possibilities. I have noticed my climbing improve tremendously in the month I’ve been climbing there…from V1s to V3s in just one month!
You can catch more bouldering videos on my YouTube Channel!
I highly recommend rock climbing as a fun, social sport that will challenge you mentally and physically. I have met more people outside of vet school through this hobby than by any other means.
